The Power of Women
Cindy Sheehan and the Jersey Girls
Before Cindy Sheehan, there were the Jersey Girls. It is, thanks to these Girls, that the 9/11 Commission ever came to be. You see, George Bush didn't want to answer their questions either and continually tried to block the creation of the 9/11 Commission. I think even today, these women are still waiting for better and or more answers however.
The Jersey Girls, more or less "camped out" in DC asking questions and raising valid points to Congress, after they were snubbed by George Bush. They showed up day after day after day walking the hallowed halls, knocking on doors asking for answers of why their husbands had died on 9/11. Similar to some of the treatment Cindy is receiving today, they were also called names and ridiculed.
Today, Cindy Sheehan camps out in front of George Bush's ranch in Texas asking why her son had to die in Iraq and what is the "noble cause" of her son's death as referred to by Bush. Is death caused by deception noble Mr. Bush?
George Bush is directly responsible for the death of Casey Sheehan and the other 1, 853 dead, and over 13,000 wounded US soldiers in Iraq. It was HIS words and CLAIMS that led America to a war in Iraq.
Recent headlines tell us that our troops are once again dying in Afghanistan. Perhaps the Jersey Girls could join Cindy in Crawford and ask Bush why he didn't get Osama, who was responsible for the death of their loved ones.

Better Dead than Fed?
We now know thanks to the Downing Street Memo, that bushco. ignored the necessity to "plan" for what happened after the initial battle for occupation in Iraq ended.
And with the revelation that the administration misled congress about the 2005 budget for the VA by over $1 BILLION DOLLARS short, I have to wonder, were they planning on different battlefield results regarding wounded troops in Iraq. The VA budget as it stands now is $2.6 BILLION SHORT for 2006.
Americans learned immediately as the occupation assault on Iraq began, that bushco. had NOT provided our troops with adequate armor and equipment to protect their lives. Was this tragedy "planned"? Was it the policy of this administration to rather have troops die on the battle field than to have to support their wounded, maimed, and destroyed bodies long term?
According to documents, this administration had "planned" for apx. 23,553 wounded from Iran and Afghanistan. However, this number had to be "revised" to 103,000, through Sept. 2005.
So, these two facts combined, can only leave the one conclusion in my mind.
In order to "save money", bushco believed it's better to have the troops DEAD THAN FED. Funerals are cheap.

Is Weller's Paranoia due to Guily Conscience?
I have to laugh. Last night I attended a local manufacturing business event that addressed free trade and the loss of American jobs, and the devastating effects on American families. Nucor Steel, who held the event, put on a marvelous presentation I must say. Thank you, Dan DiMicco.
Politicians too turned out. Senator Dick Durbin, State Senator Debbie Halverson, and congressman jerry( geraldo) weller, who didn't appear to be enjoying himself too much. CNN even covered the event for Lou Dobbs, Money Line.
Now our little group has been closely following Jerry Weller's SELL AMERICA to the lowliest bidder. Weller was truly uncomfortable in this evenings venue, as his votes prove that he disagrees with virtually everything the town hall addressed regarding American trade.
Ironically, our local Republican leaning newspaper's review of the meeting showed a picture of Weller shaking hands with the meetings organizer Dan DiMicco, and IGNORED the praise given to Senator Dick Durbin by the presenter for his strong support of legislation that benefits the American worker.
